Jere both lives and works in Westbrook. He moved here in 2009, and his son attends Westbrook Middle School. Jere is originally from Biddeford and has lived throughout southern Maine until taking residency in our exceptional community. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern Maine.
Jere has over 30 years of banking and finance experience, joining Evergreen Credit Union in 2006 to start-up its Commercial lending division. In 2019, Evergreen Commercial relocated offices to downtown Westbrook at One Westbrook Common. The office brings 10 full-time employees to the local community, while the department also maintains two fully remote staff at this time. Evergreen was founded as the SD Warren Credit Union with original headquarters at the now SAPPI mill. The Commercial department is proud to bring Evergreen’s presence back to the City where it started.
Jere serves as Co-Chair of the Organization Committee with DDW, as well as a member of the Finance and Nomination Committees. He serves on the event committees for the Vallee Square Concert Series and the Westbrook Discovered Gala. Jere has served on numerous social service, community and economic development boards over his professional career including Maine Center for Entrepreneurs, the Maine Technology Institute and Portland Development Corporation. Jere is a huge fan of summer on Maine’s lakes, and his favorite winter activity technically is traveling to warmer climates.
