Meetings: 1st Tuesdays, 4:00 PM, DWC Office (752 Main inside Emerald Management, right-hand door on the front porch)

The Design Committee enhances the look and feel of the commercial district. Historic building rehabilitation, street and alley clean-up, landscaping, street furniture, signage, visual merchandising, and lighting all improve the physical image of the downtown as a quality place to shop, work, walk, invest in, and live. Design improvements result in a reinvestment of public and private dollars to downtown.

Examples from this committee’s work plans: river cleanup, wayfinding and signage development, beautification and landscaping projects, technical assistance for architecture and design, enhancements to Blue Note Park
